Controlling data and empowering creators with ICONOME as the anchor

Our CEO Jesper Schertiger explains the ICONOME solution to controlling data, which takes creators a giant step further than legacy platforms

We're seeing it more and more: creators being handed the keys to broadcasting rights as leagues and federations go where fans congregate in order to expand their audiences. The old broadcast model isn’t just being disrupted, it’s being dismantled.

It's refreshing to see individuals becoming media houses in their own right, reclaiming their power and the value of their hard work - and this shift is integral to our own mission.

However, a huge question remains: what happens to the data?

CazéTV and That's Football, hosted by Miguel and Goldbridge respectively, will broadcast matches on YouTube and Twitch. Those platforms will collect and keep the data.

The ICONOME solution takes creators a giant step further, as our CEO Jesper Schertiger explains:

"The problem we have with these established platforms is the algorithms, which really prevent new content creators and curators from getting global attention.

"ICONOME is platform-agnostic, and the media houses we build give creators and curators that global reach and the opportunity to own the monetisation, the transaction and the data in their own digital ecosystem.

"We capture data on behalf of the IP owner, the curator who presents the content, AND the brand that is sponsoring it. ICONOME is the anchor between those three parties - and that's what gives us an advantage."
